Quran Reading Course Information

Every Muslim is required to read the Holy Quran according to Tajweed guidelines. Our online Quran reading program is tailored for anyone who has already mastered Noorani Qaida and wants to move to a more confident level of reading. By focusing on advanced exercises, students can effectively bridge the gap between basic phonetics and full Tajweed-based recitation. We leverage an engaging teaching style, blending direct practice with short theoretical explanations. This combination helps reinforce the practical aspects of recitation. Students also receive consistent support from tutors, ensuring they remain motivated and goal-oriented.

Course Structure

  • Class Type: Private One-on-One
  • Session Duration: 30 minutes
  • Age: Minimum 5 years
  • Pre-Conditions: Noorani Qaida Course
  • Level: Intermediate
  • Course Length: Flexible, depends on learning pace
  • Tutor: Male and female teachers
  • Languages: English, French, Arabic, and Urdu

The private format promotes continuous interaction, letting the tutor detect even minor reading issues. Thirty minutes might sound brief, but the focused approach ensures each second counts. Whether the student is a child or an adult, the lesson structure adapts to meet individual progress levels.

Course Outline

  • Recitation of the Quran with an appropriate Arabic accent
  • Recitation with Tarteel and Hadar
  • How the Quranic letter forms change over time
  • How much harakaat must be extended
  • The locations where recitation should either stop or continue
  • Use the Izhar, Ikhfa, Idgham, and Iqlab rules
  • Follow the Izhar-e-Shafawi, Ikhfa-e-Shafawi, and Idgham-e-Shafawi guidelines
  • Reading of the Quran from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah An-Nas

Each bullet point incorporates both demonstration and application. The teacher illustrates correct pronunciation or blending of letters, and the student practices until they build muscle memory. Regular recitation tests mark milestones, reassuring learners of tangible improvements.

Requirements

The student must be familiar with Arabic vowels, including sukhoon, madd, tanween, and shaddah, as well as the makharij of Arabic letters, word joining, and reading. If you are unfamiliar, all you need to do is complete the Noorani Qaida Basic Course before beginning to read the Quran.

Having a stable home setup—free from disturbances—often leads to smoother sessions. Students are also encouraged to listen to reputable Quran reciters between classes for additional inspiration and reinforcement of proper Tajweed.

Once done with this course, students are able to read Quran with correct pronunciation.
